The Medical Ward is a 44 bedded unit with 16 double rooms, one 8 bedded room, 2 isolation rooms and 2 VIP suites. Cases are received mostly from the Accident and Emergency Room and as elective admissions with some referrals from other hospitals. The Department of Medicine offers the following outpatient clinic specialities: figures are the average monthly patient load.
The Endoscopy Unit is equipped with Olympus scopes and diagnostic imaging equipment. Typical procedures are Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy and ERCP. There are on average 82 procedures per month. The Neurodiagnostic Unit offers EEG, EMG, NCS, VEP, BAERP, SEP & F-response procedures. The unit has the facility for both static and portable EEG & EMG. Workload averages 115 procedures per month. |
